Reset fog light failure Saab 9-3 first generation. From year: 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002.

  1. Turn ignition to ON position, do not start the engine.
  2. The fog light warning light message cannot be removed by pressing CLEAR button.
  3. To reset the fog light press the brake pedal to clear.

CHECK messages. When the engine is started, CHECKING will appear on the display for about four seconds, while the Saab Information Display (SID) checks are being performed. When a CHECK message is generated while the car is being driven, a chime will sound, INFO DISPL will illuminate on the main instrument panel, and the message will appear on the Saab Information Display (SID). The number of messages that can be displayed by the Saab Information Display (SID) varies with the specification of the car. If more than one CHECK message has been generated, the + symbol will appear to the left of the text on the display. The messages appear in order of priority. If a new fault occurs while another message is being displayed, the message relating to the new one will appear for 10 seconds, after which the display will return to the earlier one. Press CLR once to acknowledge a message, hereupon it will be cleared from the display. It will not be displayed again before the ignition has been switched off and then on again.

RESETTING 5000 MILE SERVICE LAMP ON 1994 + 1995 850

NOTE: This function is for the service reminder lamp, be sure you have performed the proper service such as changing the oil before resetting. If the check engine lamp is illuminated when the car is running, you’ll need to have the car looked at by the Volvo dealer for proper diagnosis.

1. Turn on the ignition to the KPII position so the warning lamps on the dash are illuminated. Do not start the car.

2. Open the bonnet of the car and locate Diagnostic test port (A) behind the driver side headlamp.

3. Remove the cover and pull the jumper wire out of the holder in the cover.

4. Insert the jumper into terminal #7, then press button 4 times, wait approximately 5 seconds and the red lamp should glow continuously. You are now in the data reset mode.

5. Press the button 1 time and wait approximately 5 seconds for the lamp to glow again then press the button 5 times. After about 5 seconds the lamp will illuminate again, press the button 1 time and you will see the lamp flash repeatedly for a couple of seconds indicating that the service lamp has been properly reset.

6. If a mistake is made, simply switch the ignition off and back on to reset and start over.

1996 Model (Some of them)
On these models the diagnostic socket is in front of the gear stick. Switch the ignition on. As you look at the speedometer on the dash, beneath it opposite the trip reset button is a rubber plug. Remove the plug and with a thin pointer such as a ball point pen, depress the pin. This will reset the service light.

1999 Model Service Lamp Reset Procedure

1. Press and hold trip odometer reset button

2. Turn ignition key to run position KPII (not the start position)

3. Wait 30 seconds or until service light begins blinking

4. Release Trip Odometer button

5. Turn ignition to off position

Oil service reset Delta 88

1982-1991

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
The oil life index may be reset by pressing and holding the OIL and RESET buttons for approximately 5 seconds.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

1992-1993

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the TEST button and release.
Press the OIL button and release.
Press and hold the RESET button for approximately 7 seconds.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

1995

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the test button and release.
Press OIL button and release.
Press and hold the RESET button for 5 to 7 seconds.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

1996-1997

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Display the oil life index on the Driver Information System.
Hold the reset button for 5 seconds.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

1998

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the ENG button on the DIC control panel until the OIL LIFE percentage appears.
Press and hold the RESET button for more than 5 seconds. The word RESET appears. Then the message OIL LIFE 100% appears.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2001-2003

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the RIGHT arrow button on the DIC until OIL LIFE percentage is displayed.
Press RESET and hold for 5 seconds. OIL LIFE 100% will appear and then when the button is released OIL LIFE 100% will be displayed.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
