Memory function option 1 — full seat back and track fore/aft position memory:

After using the EZ entry function, the seatback angle and the Track fore/aft adjuster can both re-lock into the position they were most recently adjusted to. This is accomplished if the seat is moved fully rearward to its last fore/aft position on the tracks before the seat back is returned upright.

Memory function option 2 — seat back only memory:

After using the EZ entry function, the seat back may first be returned upright prior to going back to the last fore/aft (memory) position on the tracks. This results inthe seat back memory being set only – The track will then be locked forward of its last set fore/aft memory position. To then reset the fore/aft track memory feature (to reestablish memory function option 1, the seat has to be returned fully rearward to its last fore/aft memory track position as described in Memory function option 1.

This indicator comes on when the ignition key is turned to the “ON” position. It goes off after about 6 seconds. This means the SRS airbags and seat belt pretensioners are operating properly.

The warning light system monitors the airbag sensor assembly, front airbag sensors, side and curtain shield airbag sensor assemblies, curtain shield airbag sensor assemblies, driver’s seat position sensor, driver’s seat belt buckle switch, front passenger occupant classification system and indicator light, front passenger’s seat belt buckle switch, seat belt pretensioner assemblies, inflators, roll sensing of curtain shield airbags off indicator light, interconnecting wiring and power sources.

If any of the following conditions occurs, this indicates a malfunction of the airbags or seat belt pretensioners. Contact your Toyota dealer as soon as possible.

  • The light does not come on when the ignition key is turned to the “ON” position or remains on for more than 6 seconds or flashes.
  • The light comes on or flashes while driving.

The SRS warning light will come on and front passenger occupant classification indicator light will indicate “OFF” if there is a malfunction in the front passenger occupant classification system.

Driver’s seat belt reminder light and buzzer.

The light and buzzer act as a reminder to buckle up the driver’s seat belt. Once the ignition key is turned to “ON” or “START”, the reminder light flashes and the buzzer sounds if the driver’s seat belt is not fastened. Unless the driver fastens the belt, the light continues flashing and the buzzer sounds 4 to 8 seconds. If the light stay on after you connected the belt you may have a problem with the airbag or with the sensor.

Front passenger’s seat belt reminder light.

The light acts as a reminder to have the front passenger buckle up the seat belt. Once the ignition key is turned to “ON” or “START”, the reminder light flashes if a passenger sits in the front passenger seat and does not fasten the seat belt. Unless the front passenger fastens the belt, the light continues flashing. If luggage or other load is placed on the front passenger seat, depending on its weight and how it is placed on the seat, built−in sensors in the seat cushion may detect the pressure, causing the reminder light to flash.

The light and buzzer act as a reminder to have the front passenger buckle up the seat belt. Once the ignition key is turned to “ON” or “START”, the reminder light flashes if a passenger sits in the front passenger seat and does not fasten the seat belt. If the vehicle speed rises above 20 km/h (12 mph) with the seat belt unfastened, the buzzer will sound for 10 seconds. Then, if the seat belt is still unfastened, the buzzer will sound in a different tone for 20 seconds. Even if the vehicle speed drops below 20 km/h (12 mph), the buzzer will continue to sound. To stop the buzzer, fasten the seat belt. If the buzzer still sounds, make sure the driver’s seat belt is fastened. If luggage or other load is placed on the front passenger seat, depending on its weight, the reminder light may flash and buzzer to sound.

The buzzer can be set not to sound by following the procedure below.

  1. Sit on the front passenger seat.
  2. Turn the ignition key to the “OFF” position with the odometer reading shown. For details see the Odometer and two trip meters om Toyota categories.
  3. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position.
  4. Within 6 seconds, push the trip meter reset knob and hold it for more than 10 seconds.
  5. Insert the tab of front passenger seat belt into the buckle.
  6. The odometer shows either “b−on” or “b−off”. The reading changes by pushing the trip meter reset knob and the setting of the front passenger seat belt reminder buzzer can be changed. The odometer display returns to normal if the meter reset knob has not been operated for more than 10 seconds or the ignition key is turned to the “OFF” position.
